Purple Haze

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: Purple Haze

Grade: A

Type: Hybrid mainly Sativa (rumored to be a Thai/Colombian Haze crossed with an early Dutch Skunk.

Looks: Vivid purple with bright green leaves and an ample coating of bright orange hairs.

Smell: Extremely Aromatic with smells ranging from heady inscense to a woodsy, almost Sandlewood aroma, to a deeply earthy Haze undertone. Very satisfying olefactry experience indeed.

Taste: The most “Purple” taste of any medicine I’ve ever experienced. Grape candy on the inhale and earthy Sandlewood inscense on the exhale. Almost exactly like the Smell.

Effects: Very soaring, rushy, euphoric effect that is not at all edgey or uncomfortable. This medicine made me fill very “large” and floaty like a big baloon in the sky. Very long lasting with amellow easy comedown.

Potency: Very strong with pronounced psychedelic imagery and soaring, rushy body high. Not for the faint of heart, at least in the initial stages of the experience, before eventually (could be hours) the introspective mellow indica high takes over.

Strain Name: NYCD

Grade: A+

Type: Sativa-Indica mix (Mexican-Sativa x Afghani)

Looks: Extremely dense, super low calenx to leaf ratio, completeLY coated with beautiful amber trichs, very multi-colored ranging from deep purple to blue to gold to vibrant greens. Great overall bag appeal!

Smell: Lemony, grapefruity with spicy undertones, has a very candy smell too like a grapefruit Jolly Rancher,

Taste: On the inhale this beauty is very fruity like a bowl of mixed citrus fruits, but on the exhale it defineately taste spicey almost like Indian chai.

Effects: This is a prime example of a great hybrid. For the first hour I felt very energetic sativa rushes running all up and down my body and my mind was flooded with creative images and ideas. Then this slowly flows in almost a trance-like state, very condusive to meditation or levitation! Not at all a full on couch-lock but more like purple indica type easiness that last at least another 2 hours or so.

Potency: This strain is very potent lasting up to 3 hours but is also very gentle on the body therefor quite suitable for a full range of patient tolerances.

Brazilian Amazonian

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: Brazilian Amazonian

From: Patient’s Choice of Colorado

Grade: A

Type: Indica

Looks: This is a deceivingly dense little bud. It is coated with long thin trichomes, and has dark red hair coming out everywhere.

Smell: Initially this bud smelled slightly of incense or perfume, but upon grinding that changed to more of a sweet scent, along the lines of strawberry licorice.

Taste: Contrary to the scent, this bud tastes much like a cold lemonade: the kind that the flavor is so sweet and sour that it kind of sticks around in your mouth. I am also getting a slight undertone of a kind of earthy plant flavor.

Effects: Instant pain relief. I do feel a bit hazy in my head, but my thoughts seem to cut through the cloud, and movements seem un-slowed. That all being said, it has a very nice body buzz that, when combined with the cloudy headed feeling, makes for an incredibly comfortable overall buzz. Just sitting back and feeling the buzz, is like sitting next to a nice warm fireplace on a cold night.

Potency: The comedown started at hour two and lasted until about hour five, so I’d give this one an 8 out of 10 on potency.

Super Lemon Skunk

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: Super Lemon Skunk

From: Patient’s Choice of Colorado

Grade: A

Type: Indica

Looks: This bud is so covered in trichomes that the leaves are barely visible. It looks like it was in the freezer and accumulated a considerable amount of frost over everything. The pistols are a bit stubby and seem to be stuck inside clumps of trichomes, in some instances.

Smell: Very sweet and lemony, as you would expect from the name. The scent is very similar to something like a Golden Goat or Jack Flash, where it has that lemony smell, but it lacks the soapy tones that those strains have.

Taste: Sweet. Lemon. This bud tastes like a lemon drop, when I inhale via my vaporizer. It has almost no sour undertones, which was kind of unexpected for a lemony bud. There is almost no overly heavy feeling in your lungs like a Golden Goat can get at times, this is more light and airy feeling.

Effects: This is a great bud to just zone out with some music on. Worked wonderfully on my stomach pains, although it could do a bit better on the nausea. Also, it definitely helps me wind down to sleep. Thoughts are pretty disjointed, and I seem to be easily distracted, so it definitely provides that cloudy kind of dreamy feeling.

Potency: This one lasted 4-6 hours, so it was pretty potent. I’d have to give this one a 9 out of 10 for potency.

Chem 91

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: Chem 91

From: Patient’s Choice of Colorado

Grade: A

Type: Sativa

Looks: Just looking at this, I can tell it is a pretty solid bud. The hairs are peach colored from the trichomes, and the leaves are a nice lime green tint.

Smell: It smells very diesely, even pretty dried out this little bud permeated through the room very quickly when ground. On the edge of the scent is a nice hashy smell, but it gets overwhelmed, on a deeper inhale, by the diesel scent.

Taste: This doesn’t taste at all like I was expecting. Initially, on exhale, there is a kind of metallic taste, followed by a kind of smoky flavor. It follows up with a kind of salty lemon flavor.

Effects: Very heady active buzz. It did not work on the sharper stomach pains, but my mood was definitely improved. Energy kind of felt like it radiated out from my lower head into my body and limbs. Thoughts felt accelerated to where I was having trouble keeping up with them.

Potency: While this one only lasted 4 hours, it was pretty intense for that duration. I’d have to give this one a 9 out of 10 on potency.

Killer Chem #3

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: Killer Chem #3

Grade: A-

Type: Hybrid – Sativa

Looks: Dark green bud leaves, lightly covered in a snow shower of cannabinoids. There are very fine, frail looking whitish-orange pistols making their way out between the leaves at fairly regular intervals around the bud.

Smell: This bud smells very earthy, with sour and nutty undertones. It smells almost like a forest after a rain.

Taste: The earthy scent definitely translates into an intense earthy flavor, with kind of sweet and sour undertones. It tastes kind of like I would imagine dirt would taste, but in a good way.

Effects: This seems to be a great daytime bud. It did a wonderful number on my stomach pains and nausea, and I feel like I can get up and go do things. It is very clearheaded reaction times and vision only seem to be slightly effected, and there is a definite mood improvement, kind of a light euphoric feeling going on through the whole duration. The body buzz is very mild and controllable, but definitely present.

Potency: This bud lasted 3-5, this bud provided relief for a considerable amount of time so I’d give it an 8 out of 10 on potency.

The Palin

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: The Palin

From: Patient’s Choice of Colorado

Grade: B+

Type: Organic Hybrid

Looks: Nice dark green bud, with very curly, dark orange, pistols that kind of curl a loose web over the bud.

Smell: The main thing that stands out in the scent of this bud, is its spiciness. It smells almost peppery, combined with the ever-present dankness that hangs around most good bud. Upon grinding, it has a very sour scent; almost like a Chem or Durban strain.

Taste: The flavor is very much like buttered popcorn, with a very strong popcorn taste afterward.

Effects: The buzz comes on fast, and is mostly in the head radiating out into the body. Thoughts are a bit disjointed and hard to keep together. I become easily distracted. Stomach pains and nausea were considerable beforehand, but after dosing are very much dulled. Eyes are definitely dry, but vision and reflexes are near par, even with my thoughts being a bit cloudy. The radiating warmth from the back of my neck continued for the first hour and a half or so.

Potency: This one lasted 3-4 hours, and it had a fairly quick comedown. I’d give it a 7 out of 10 for potency.

Super Blue

traits: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Strain Name: Super Blue

From: Patient’s Choice of Colorado

Grade: B

Type: Hybrid, with a definite sativa lean.

Looks: This bud is light and airy, with gorgeous dark orange pistols peeking out between dark green leaves whose edges are white with THC growth. The bud itself seems a bit older, its pretty dry and crispy at this point. You don’t get hit with that sharp, dank bud scent until you grind it up.

Smell: Smells sweet, almost like candy, with a slightly cheesy undertone. At the beginning of a deep clean inhale, your nose picks up a slight mint undertone as well.

Taste: As far as taste goes, it comes off as a very smooth vapor, tasting almost equally of the sweetness in the scent, and the dankness after you grind it. When vaporized it smells much, much stronger than when in bud form.

Effects: As far as thought processes go, this buzz is pretty clearheaded. Also, it works very well on stomach cramps, and definitely increases appetite. Bodily, it is a pretty dense warm feeling. Reaction times are definitely slowed. Eye movements lag a bit, and vision gets a bit blurred, but no red eye, that I’ve experienced so far.

Potency: Decrease in intensity began around hour 3 and lasted until hour 5.5 or so. I’d give this one a 7 out of 10 for potency.
