UBC Chemo

UBC Chemo

Strain Name: UBC Chemo

Grade: A

Type: Nearly 100% Indica – Rumoured to have been developed by Dr David Suzuki at UBC in the 70s. Strain developed specifically for treating the symptoms of nausea and pain associated with chemotherapy.

Looks: Very dense and resinous buds. The true Chemo is supposed to look very strange with three point leaves and a bonsai-like appearance – I did not find any of the plants to have these qualities, so I’m not sure if it’s the real thing or not. However, the Phenos were all quite consistent, with basically two slightly different expressions – a dark purple and green. The smoke, smell, effects, and taste are consistent between them however, so likely not much other than the color that is really all that different.

The Buds are absolutely covered in sugar, and will leave a nice pile of keif whenever you break open a nugget.

Smell: Not sure what people refer to when they say “it smells like kush”, but if Kush smells like lemony and pine, then that is what this strain smells like. Very nice aroma – not overpowering, but noticeable. When burning – it has a more distinct earthy and hashy smell.

Taste: Hashy, but if you toke slowly and let the smoke draw across your tongue, it is distinctly sweet- almost like sugar. This may just be a byproduct of my growing methods though as I grow in organic soil.

Potency: Very strong. A couple puffs off a joint and I’m good and medicated for a couple hours. Really easy to overdo it though – take one extra puff and it can really grab a hold of your head for a while and make it difficult to even walk. Lay down and stare at the tv and you’ll be fine, try to move your head, and it feels like your head is on a swivel – this tapers off for about an hour and leaves you very, very chilled out.

Effects: I grow this strain for my nighttime medicine. My problems being stomach pain, nausea, and trouble sleeping due to the pain. This is a wonderful plant for boosting my appetite, and turning the dial down on my stomach pain. I am prone to anxiety and panic attacks, but this bud never gives me a hint of paranoia – and it works wonders for helping me sleep. I can function during the day fine if I take small tokes as needed, but one extra hit though, and it will lock you to the couch – the line is that fine. No sativa qualities at all, except it does seem to make me laugh at things much easier. If you suffer from stomach troubles like me, or you want just a really good indica plant that is super easy to grow – this is your girl.

King's Kush

Strain Name: King’s Kush, KMK Kush

Grade: A++

Type: 80% OG Kush (Indica) x 20% DJ Bobby B’s Deep-Dark Purps (Sativa)

Genetics: OG Kush x DJ Bobby B’s Purps.

Looks: Beautiful deep green petals with purple in the center of many of the petals, covered with long, twisting, bright orange hairs, and CAKED with long pistols that are just BLASTED with sparkling trichs. So beautiful.

Smell: Stick your nose in the jar and you’ll think your nose is over a bottle of Pine-Sol. Straight Pine-Sol (That’s the power of weed, baby!) It’s super dank though. I opened my jar to put a little nug in my pill jar for discin and closed it immediatly. I went to the bathroom, took a leak, walked back into my room and had to open my windows. The strong is powerful.

Taste: Fruity, piney inhale. Tastes like Sour Diesel on the FIRST exhale, every exhale after is different after that, no joke. The taste is like no other bud.

Effects: FUCKING STONED!! Two hits and I’m gone. I’m a pretty regular smoker. Wow, all I can really say. Couchlock for sure though, don’t plan on doing anything if your planning on a joint or a fat bowl. Anything more and your eyes will start burning. That’s when you know you wont be moving anytime soon.

Potency: STRONG!!!!!! Use with caution. Not for new smokers by any means. If you smoke shawg dirt regs this bud will knock you on your ass for a good while after one hit.

Querkle

Strain Name: Querkle

Grade: A+

Genetics: Purple Urkle x Space Queen

Type: Indica Dominant Blend (Purple Urkle x Space Queen)

Looks: In the summer, like mine is, it’s a beautiful green caked with a sparkling blanket of trichs. In the winter you’ll see the dreamy purple. Keep this one in mind when looking for this bud.

Smell: Straight danky grape

Taste: Delicious weed taste at first with an extremely overpowering earthy taste on the exhale. I like it but the guys I’m blazin with don’t really enjoy the taste. Keep that in mind.

Effects: My eyes dropped after the first hit. It takes about 2 good rips to be stoned though. However, it’s all downhill from there. Each hit you take after you get hit by the stone will increase the high VERY drastically. This is a night cap smoke for sure. Do not smoke to much of this if you have shit to do!! I was expecting this after reading the other review on this sight but the look and taste of the bud honestly had me doubting. But I am on my ass. Two thumbs up Querkle.

Potency: **WARNING** THIS BUD IS STRONG AND WILL MAKE YOU LAZY!! Smoke this at night, two bong rips, and try staying up for That 70s Show on Teen Nick, the late night one at 4AM. I love this strain though not gonna lie.
