Trainwreck

Strain Name: Trainwreck

Grade: A

Type: Sativa dominant hybrid.

Looks: Distinctive army-green color and spiky appearance.

Smell: A sour, dank, hash-like smell.

Taste: Unmistakable earthy and sour flavor with just a hint of spiciness. One of the most expansive smokes, but smooth all the way through.

Effects: Trainwreck is my “desert island” medication – the perfect blend of sativa and indica effects that rarely fails to satisfy. Mildly euphoric, very spacey, and just the right amount of body buzz. One of the best medications for relaxing with music or other artistic occupations. Also a good social medicine.

Taste: A delicious smoke. Mostly Sour Diesel, but with a good helping of purple fruitiness. Expansive and heavy.

Effects: A fast and furious buzz for the head and body. Creative, euphoric and uplifting thoughts with a slightly speedy feel and increase in heart rate. Potentially some disoriented and uncoordinated feelings for a little while, but mellows into a spacey and dreamy experience. An excellent medicine for day and night use.

Blueberry

Strain Name: Blueberry

Grade: A

Type: Indica dominant hybrid.

Looks: Dense, dark green buds with lots of orange.

Smell: Fruit with a hashy smell underneath.

Taste: Delicious, smooth and slightly sweet taste. A very heavy smoke produces lots of coughing.

Effects: One of the sleepiest medicines out there. Tiredness, lethargy, ennui, and general heavy stoniness set in almost immediately. Concentration can become difficult. Not recommended for daytime use or for accomplishing tasks. Not good for socialization.

Purple Haze

Strain Name: Purple Haze

Grade: A

Type: Sativa dominant hybrid.

Looks: Pale, light green buds that sparkle. An abundance of orange hairs. Compact and very dense nuggets. There’s not much purple, but this medicine wasn’t exposed to cooler temperatures.

Smell: Slightly sour fruit…a little bit like sweet red grapefruit.

Taste: Expansive and tangy. Sativa smooth. Tickles in the nose and tangy on the exhale. More of a “purple” taste than smell.

Effects: Quick and long-lasting head buzz. Uplifting – lots of energy and good vibes with a little bit of an increase in heart rate, but no jittery feeling. Slightly psychedelic effect. Put on some good music and clean the house.

UW

Strain Name: UW (U-dub)

Grade: A

Type: Indica

Looks: Deep green bordering on purple with massive amounts of orange hairs and trichomes. Dense and sticky.

Smell: Strong fruit smell with a little bit of spiciness.

Taste: Expansive, fruity-sweet taste. Leaves you with a tingly nose and a delicious aftertaste.

Effects: Potent head and body high, especially in the eyes, though it’s not overly sleep inducing (depending upon your dosage). This strain is the subject of a number of legends in the Pacific Northwest, namely that a graduate assistant at the University of Washington “liberated” the strain which was being legally studied in a government medical program. Maybe, maybe not…but it’s still excellent medicine.

Grade: A

Type: An Indica-Dominant Hybrid

Looks: Looks very pale and glazed out nugs. This cannabis can pass for the nickname “Ghost Bud”.

Smell: The smell often reminds me of a strong house cleaner scent. Almost smells like candy covered with pine oil.

Taste: Very hashy, berry-like after taste with a lung expansion.

Effects: This cross of Blueberry and White Widow creates a very strong yet clear, energetic, and floaty high making this flower a unique buzz. Shows the strong sativa high, but once your sitting down on a comfortable couch you are bound to be in same spot the next morning.

Pakistan Chitral Kush

Pakistan Chitral Kush

Strain Name: Pakistan Chitral Kush (aka Purple Pakistani)

Grade: A+

Type: 100% landrace Indica

Looks: Deep purple, with dark orange hairs and deep green mixed throughout. Buds on this plant were small, but incredibly dense and heavy. Calyxes turned purple in last few weeks without cold temps, and resin production was very heavy, coating the small buds in a nice layer of crystals.

Smell: While growing smelled strongly of menthol, with a hard-to-place smell that I can only describe as stale “After 8” chocolate mints. To be honest, it was actually kind of off-putting. Once cured, the chocolate smell came out even further, and the menthol seemed to be subdued, and at this point I actually really enjoyed the smell. Very unique, and unlike any other plant I’ve grown.

Taste: Menthol on the inhale, and sandalwood/incense on the exhale. Very smooth, with moderate expansion in the lungs.

Effects: Very mellow. Absolutely no raciness or paranoia whatsoever. The first time I smoked this after a three week cure, I realized I was walking around with a huge grin on my face for about an hour. Relaxing, happy, and humour stimulating. Didn’t seem to increase my appetite all that much, so I can’t say it’s too medicinal for my purposes (Crohn’s disease), but that didn’t detract from the overall experience. This is a bud that is perfect to just relax and chill at the end of the day. Not a heavy or clumsy indica stone, and not a racey sativa, but the perfect balance between the two – even considering it’s pure indica.

Potency: Certainly the least potent in my arsenal, but not in a bad way. This isn’t a bud you would smoke if you wanted to get destroyed, but this is your ticket if you want a happy, cheerful, social smoke that isn’t going to incapacitate you.

Grower’s Notes: This was the only keeper plant out of a pack of 20 beans (from Beanho). It was an absolute whore to grow. Nothing but constant problems with deficiencies, slow growth, ph problems, etc. It was a miracle I got this one to the finish line. This is the most difficult and finicky plant I have ever grown, and I have conferred with other growers of this strain, that I’m not alone. This was the only plant to turn purple, all other phenos were very green, and not to my liking at all. Ended up cutting my losses and destroying all the other plants so I could start on something else.

With that being said, it seems that it’s an issue of poor breeding here. I have spoken with other growers who have grown this plant from Cannabiogen’s stock (the original breeder), and have had none of the problems that myself and others have had with Beanho’s seeds. Yes, this is an inbred landrace strain and as such you can’t expect the same vigour or yield as other proven hybrids, but even with that being taken into account, this plant was just too problematic to be recommended to all but the most experienced grower.

However, if you lucky enough to grow this plant, and find this rare pheno, and avoid many of the problems that I ran into, you will be well rewarded with your effort. The finished product is absolutely amazing.
