Looks: Small dense golden nugs, coated in a thick layer of sticky resinous crystals.
Smell: Smell is like dank and lemony.
Taste: Very citric with a kind of grapefruit twist. Smooth to inhale, but heavy in the lungs.
Effects: This buzz is very potent but mellow, it doesn’t take much to last a long time. Thought processes are clear, but actions are a bit slow, as if my body doesn’t quite know what its doing. Very easy to focus on a given task. Not couch-lock-ish at all. Vision is slightly blurred after moving my eyes. Perceptions seem to be a bit softer, sounds are mellower, lights aren’t so harsh, colors are warmer. This is a very good mix of cerebral and body effects.
Potency: Effects lasted 1.5 – 2.5 Hours.

Just got a sample of Golden goat from my caregiver, very unique smell, I was thinking lemon+urine for the smell as it has some kind of smell that I just cant place lol

Actually golden goat is a cross of sweet island skunk, hawaiian sativa, and romulan. The hawaiian and sweet island skunk are both sativas and the romulan being 100% indica would make it a 70 sativa/ 30 indica.

Exactly correct with the cross. I grow both Romulan and Island Sweet Skunk a lot. The lemony musty smell is the Romulan, and the citrus is comes from the island sweet skunk, which has a very sharp grapefruit scent. I’ve never sampled the Hawaiian sativa, so I’m not sure what it brings to the party, but I’m sure it’s wonderful

Just recently picked up a strain from a local dispensary here in Fort Collins, CO that they are calling golden grape. Have never seen it elsewhere. I’m sure it’s a golden goat cross after seeing the pictures in this review. looks very similar. Has anyone else heard of this cross? Would rather buy legitimate genetics than buy something that someone randomly labeled. There doesn’t seem to be any internet buzz about this strain. Maybe golden goat x grape ape? grape kush?

The goat is gnarly. Love the way it leaves a room smelling. I have a cold, so it’s nice to have something as smooth as it is heavy. The flavor is DEFINITELY SIS and Hawaiian and the potency is definitely Romulan.

Love this plant…. page pictures do not do it justice( not the most attractive but nothing like the pics shown). I tried this for the first time about a year ago. Loved it imediatley. I had some of this recently. So far was a great medicinal strain. No more lower back pain. As far as the effects, mellow high was a great way to put it. Definitely like this strain.
